Below is the third letter I sent to Subaru of America after getting nowhere fast with their customer service for three weeks. Subaru Letter #3 Two days is not a long time. That’s how many days it’s been since I last emailed customer service. I haven’t received a response in two days, which isn’t a long time unless your brand new 2017 Subaru Imprenza has been in the shop a total of 16 days and you have owned it for a total of 31 days. To be... Read more

I recently had my car in for service at the Kearny Mesa Subaru dealership. I requested they check for an airleak, and to please inspect all the tires because I had a trip in the next week. I was assured that my tires were fine; I made it clear I was heading out of town on a 700 mile roadtrip. I requested a quote for tires because I was told I had a few months before I had to purchase the tires, nor could they find any air leak. Unfortunately,... Read more

On 1/3/2017, I went into Clay Subaru to perform recall WTM-73, but the advisor told me it was not necessary to perform this recall because the check engine light was not on. The Subaru recall involves changing secondary air pump relay, which catches on fire. On 1/12/2017, My 2012 Subaru WRX check engine light on, traction control light on, and cruise control was flashing. There was a faint smell of smoke inside my cabin. I opened the hood and... On our trip home to Erie Pennsylvania, we apparently ran out of gas while the display indicated we still had 30 miles of fuel left. We had to pull off on Interstate 77 in North Carolina in traffic. I called Roadside assistance at 5:55 and was put on hold until close to 6:30. Fortunately, we also have AAA and my husband called them while the Subaru of America music was playing on my phone. AAA responded immediately and within 10 minutes a service... Read more

I purchased a 2008 Impreza for my granddaughter. I got a recall letter in July, 2016. I immediately called and they said the part would not be in until November?? It is now January and no follow up nothing. I called Royal and they told me I would have to order the part its an airbag and pay. This is a major safety issue and I am stunned at the lack of service and follow up (none). I will never purchase another one and I have half a mind to... Read more

The 2017 Subaru Forester may get me in an accident ! When I come to a stop in a yield situation, I find that most often the accelerator pedal lags engaging for several seconds when I try to accelerate. The Subaru maintenance people in Raleigh, NC can not fix it. I am scared to drive the car in yield or stop sign situations. Must the entire system be replaced to perform properly ? I wonder if this is associated with transmissions problems I have... Read more

Subaru had designed their cars so that a headlight change is near impossible for the consumer- just paid the dealership 125 dollars to change a light bulb

We made an appointment to drive 2 hours to sign the appropriate paper to purchase a car. When we arrived we found out that they needed identification of our son who would be picking up the car. Our son emailed them his U.S. passport. Derek (finance person) asked no less than 5 times if it was a U.S. passport!!! Derek was rude, arrogant & has zero people skills. Travis the salesman was wonderful. He did everything he could to make our experience... Read more

What ever possessed you to do away with Cypress Green as an option for the 2017 Outback? I was looking to purchase one but cannot stomach the horrid green ya'll chose. Not sure what my options are now but it won't be a 2017. That's for sure. James English Houston Texas Read more

I have a brand new 2017 Subaru Forester -- had it about a week. Out of the blue the "check engine" light is on. Read the manual, and re-did the gas cap as directed. Also have the cruise control icon flashing, the "hill assist" icon illuminated, and the "x-drive" icon illuminated. Sat in the driveway on Sunday and read through the manual doing all the steps as instructed. Nothing worked. Call the local dealership today (not where I purchased the... Read more
