Subaru Of America - Subaru more interested in profits then safety

1.5
Details
I too have a complaint on the 2017 outback. It is suppose to be all wheel, however, when we took it to the snow the tires slipped on roads that did not even have that much snow. I have just realized in reading your comment that my car must also be equipped with summer tires. After spending almost 40K to get a safe car in the snow, this is greatly disappointing. It is also greatly disappointing to have a Japanese company being more interested in their profit margin then the safety of the buyer. Especially when one buys a SUV because of a need for traction. I have read the comments on the car and tires, Subaru says that in snow one should have chains and or snow tires. Really, I purchased a SUV to avoid using snow tires/show chains. I am Japanese so I know in the past the ethics of the Japanese were something you can take to the bank. Not true any more. I have had a Honda CRV for 13 years. There was no problem driving in the snow nor diving in a snow storm. I wish I had stayed with the Honda brand. Snarky's comment is wrong. Subaru's problem is with its lack of values not ones ability to drive in the snow

A few months before I bought my 2007 Outback Legacy, I bought a 1998 Outback for my son. I liked his Outback so much, I sold my Mustang and found one for myself. I had never had any problems with my Mustang at all,but I figured Outback would exceed my expectations in...

Subaru Of America in Little Silver, New Jersey - 2007 outback head gaskets

1.6
Details
I was told by my dealer I needed head gaskets $ 3200.00 repair. Car only has 55k miles. Oil and filter changed religiously every 3000 to 3500 miles with Mobil 1 and Subaru oil filters. Subaru of America only offered $500.00 for repair or $1000.00 towards new Subaru. I thought I was buying a quality vehicle when I bought a Subaru. On line forums list head gasket problems back to year 2000. Shame on them for not correcting the problem and passing the problem onto their customers ! Why would I buy another Subaru knowing that I may encounter the same problem and SOA won't stand behind their product ? Their offer was not in line with the care I put into this vehicle. Did I mention this car is in showroom condition except for the dead gasket problem ?
