Made A TYPO, PURCHASED CAR NEW, NOV./ 2007.

Original review posted by user Jan 08

ON 1/7/2019, I HAD A STRONG SMELL OF GAS, AFTER PARKING IN THE DRIVEWAY, WITH THE ENGINE OFF, FUEL WAS LEAKING FROM UNDER THE CAR, JUST FORWARD OF THE LT. REAR WHEEL. I IMMEDIATELY CALLED THE LOCAL GARAGE, AND I DROVE THE CAR THERE, APPROX. ONE MILE. NOW, THE LEAK WAS A RUNNING LEAK, AND THE MECHANIC IMMEDIATELY PUT CAR ON LIFT. I WENT HOME, HE CALLED LATER TO ADVISE ME THAT THE FUEL LINE WAS CORRODED, AND THEY'LL HAVE TO CUT THE BAD SECTION OUT AND USE A HIGH PRESSURE FUEL HOSE TO FIX IT. i'M A RETIRED AIRCRAFT MAINT. TECH., SO I KNOW THAT THIS SHOULDN'T HAVE HAPPEND. THERE IS A BRAKE LINE NEXT TO IT, IS THIS GOING TO LEAK NEXT. THE TOTAL COST OF THE REPAIR WAS APPROX. $474.00. I BOUGHT THE CAR NEW IN NOV., 2017.

RESPECTFULLY SUBMITTED,

PETER GODSHALK SR

149 MAIN ST., LEBANON NJ 08833

Reason of review: ROUTING OF FUEL AND BRAKE LINE, WHERE SALT CAN CAUSE CORROSSION.

Monetary Loss: $474.

Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution.

I didn't like: Fair.
