Subaru Of America in Woodland, California - Low growling noise coasting 3-5 mph. Told it was normal.

5.0
Details
I own a 2017 Subaru Outback. I am elderly and not a frequent driver. The car has only 5500 miles so far and I love it. I took it to a dealer for service and advised that the car makes a low growling noise when slowing to about 3 to 5 mph. while in gear. The dealer tech took it for a ride with me and confirmed the noise was normal. He said it was the gears meshing when slowing down.

Your right about the horrible batteries. I'm on my third one.

It cost me over $200 for battery jumps. From day one my 2016 Subaru Outback has sucked. I would never recommend a Subaru. My first one I had never any trouble.

200,000 miles. My new one has been in shop 30 times. Day i bought it, the right front alignment was off. Both front window, didn't work, sunroof broke, problems with ignition, windows don't keep out noise.

Windshield cracked in corner, front bumper started coming off. passages handle broke, it goes on and on.

The manger at Capitol Subaru said "I had a Lemon". poor response

Subaru Of America - 2017 Outback Battery Failure

1.0
Details
I purchased a 2017 Outback from the Subaru dealer in Bellevue, WA, in November 2016. The battery died about 2 months ago and was replaced, and software updated. The new battery will not hold a charge for more than 3 days in 40 degree weather. I was told that Subaru decided to use eco-friendly batteries (dumb) and that I should connect a trickle charger to it. Not exactly convenient and Subaru never disclosed that I was given a battery that frankly does not work. Otherwise love the car. Rick Brown ibnr@earthlink.net
