If it was a new vehicle you may have a recourse under your states actual lemon laws. Since you know where you live you can google it.

However, if this was a USED vehicle purchase then there is zero actions you can take. When you purchase a used car it is ALWAYS as is. You even sign paperwork when you purchase it that you understood that you were making a AS IS purchase. While I understand your frustration you need to focus.

Was it new? Then contact the BBB and the head corporate offices of the dealership. If it was used, then contact a mechanic because they would be under zero legal liability to do ANYTHING for you. Sorry but it is what it is.

Not saying don’t try, just that you will have better luck getting the issue resolved by contacting the correct parties. I’m not trying to be an *** but if it was used did you take anyone with mechanical knowledge with you? If you didn’t then sorry that’s on you. You never just buy a used vehicle without atleast 3 qualified people taking a look at it.

You use the test drive and go to your favorite mechanic and let them have a look at it. The sales people are NOT qualified to diagnose a vehicle so ANYTHING they tell you must be taken with a grain of salt.

I purchased a 2018 Subaru Outback for my wife new. She had mentioned her dissatisfaction for how the car stereo / phone was working. She has taken the car in 4-5 times now and it is still not functioning properly. I spoke to support and was essentially told that they were trying to figure it out. No general time frame given. I’m the one that bought my wife (what I thought was) a super safe a reliable vehicle to drive our family around. Now my wife doesn’t feel comfortable driving it.

Due to a defect in the radio, I do not have a radio, CD player, blue-tooth, navigational system, back-up camera or any of the features that first attracted me to the vehicle. Was told that they do not do recalls unless it is a safety issue. Was told I must wait 5 to 8 weeks for a remedy. In the meantime, I am making payments on a car that doesn't even have the basics, much less the "extra features". I know it's through no fault of my local service department, but I feel like Subaru knew of this defect and should have recalled the effected models BEFORE everything failed.

Bought our New 2018 subaru outback in May of 2018? Drove to Vail Colorado January of 2019. (First Brand New Car Ever!!!!!!) Consol with radio, GPS etc. went BLACK! Are you kidding me??? My 4 day vacation is now spent making calls to Subaru for nearest service, customer service and waiting for return calls. I don't have a cell phone, my gps was supposed to take care of that. Driving back to Dayton, Oh is a long drive without music and gps. It's a 1 to 11\2 hr drive to nearest dealership plus NO guarantee of resolution while here in Colorado. This doesn't feel like Love, I am so angry. And we just had the car serviced Dec 28 2018 for the trip. I regret ever becoming part of "the Subaru Family".

Subaru Of America in Atlantic, Pennsylvania - Battery died several times.

I have a 2018 Subura Outback. Bought in Nov 2017. Battery died several timmes, took to dealer replaced battery (bad cells), got it back after a breif time I left it set for 2wks battery died again, took to dealer they had it about 2 wks and replace the radio, about a month later it sat without starting and battery dead again, towed to dealer, cant find a problem , called Subura of America complained, doesnt seem to do any good. Paid good money for a car I cant depend on. READ THE REVIEWS BEFORE BUYING.

You might try contacting SOA about the issue, but as an employee I can bet you will get denied any real help. Your best bet is to file a lawsuit against SOA for warranty contract violation.

Have had the same problem . Was promised a new radio 4 weeks ago...haven't heard from Subaru.

Very disappointd in this service.

This is my first Subaru and will definitely be my last. Sad because I love the car, but when you have to wait this long for repairs to a major feature of the car, it is ridiculous.
