Subaru Of America - Service manager is good Subaru it self sucks on this

Head light bulbs keep going out. Have replaced them every 3 months or more. Now thd clips are waering out. Subaru says they will replace bulbs over and over again but not thd housing whicb is the problem. Fix the result of the issue but not fhed cause. Go figure.

Wanted to trade in my 2009 Outback for a 2017 in July. First, they tried to give me a copy of the window sticker for the one I wanted (at an Orlando dealership) without the VIN (excruciatingly carefully placed on the copier to leave the VIN off!). Second, they confirmed the car was available (a lie), took my $1000 deposit and told me I could pick it up in two days. Turns out the car was not available, they knew it and, third, they deposited my check anyway... 10 business days before I could get it back. Then they tried to sell me another more expensive Outback from their lot instead of processing my return. Abysmal!

Thanksgiving day 2017 my 2011 legacy had every warning light come on while driving. Couldnt go over 40 mph the rest of the way home. Mechanic says #2 cylinder has no compression and we need a new motor. Not what I call quality. My 2002 Chevy has 211,000 . Not to mention the twice yearly head light replacements. That wouldnt be a big deal except it's always the low beams and they are a mother to get to. The intern must have designed that one.

2004 Forester 2.5 XT. Went to local dealer 3X complaining of smelling gasoline inside cabin esp in cold/damp weather most notably with the heat on. They said they found no leak. On my 3rd return to them, they finally acknowledged the smell of gasoline even after the engine was turned off. The smell lingers, even after the ignition is turned off. They told me it had to do with some tubing or piping under the engine manifold. Cost quote: $1200.00 for a car whose total value is less than $2,000. This cost repair is outrageous. Because this part is defective, and a fire safety, as well as a health (breathing in deadly gas fumes) and environmental issue, they should be responsible for the repair. And not the burden of the consumer

This is the first brand new car I've ever owned. Bought new from dealer, now has less than 85,000 miles and has made countless trips back to dealership for repairs Replaced catalytic converter Replaced rear break sensor Replaced front right axl Replaced power steering hoses and pump Replaced third break light that was causing leak These cars are not made very well anymore. I keep having to cough up thousands of dollars for repairs and I'm still making car payments. I will never buy another Subaru again
