I just read my contract, and it clearly states that you get free oil changes for life, and "at least 2" if you do not reach the recommended number of mileage driven. I plan to call Subaru headquarters to complain.

If they don't honor it, will look into further options.

Illegal to change a contract just to suit their best interests. (also in Morristown).

As other consumers of this brand of vehicle, I too had a horrific time regarding the phone customer service "team". I figure they have maybe 5 people to answer the phones of consumers based on wait times ( 30 min.+ wait time) Also, I don't appreciate being told by a customer service rep that has probably 5% automotive/mechanic training, that I'm wrong. ( mind you I'm a licensed mechanic by the FAA and certified auto mechanic ) What I'm being told I'm wrong about is that engines consume oil at a rate of one quart per 3500 miles. That may be true for a Continental IO550 but not a boxer 3.6R with 54,000 miles on it (2011) What a world we live in where customer service is no better than a bean burrito from - fill in your own food chain here -

I've never had such an aweful experience as I have had with my 2013 SubaruLegacy. First month had to replace the seat Car Drives like a tank but since I've aways had HONDAs I wasn't sure if I was just spoiled by how great HONDAs drive first 6 months the paint started CHIPPING Thinking it was a BIG mistake to change up to a SUBARU now in year 3 and only 57,000 miles the transmission had to be replace. Loaner car was great so I hoped that once the transmission was fixed mine would drive better. NOPE still drives like a tank and now after less than 2 weeks it makeing the same sound it made when we had to have transmission changed so I guess I'm going to have to take it back to the dealer to get transmission fixed again After multiple calls to Subaru and waiting for 25-70 mins each time to talk to someone, they will give me a Whopping $500.00 credit if I want to buy a new car from them......amazing that they think that would help in the least. I've never had such bad luck with a car but I think everyone should be aware that they are not what the ads claim.. My car, that I paid $26,000, is now worth 13,300 on a trade in with Subaru and I haven't had it to Honda yet so I'm not sure what they will give me:(

Subaru Of America in Burlington, New Jersey - IMpreza still making strange noises

A couple of months ago we took our 2009 Subaru Impreza in for a loud hum coming from the wheels. Instead of trying to find the problem they sold us 4 new tires and an alignment for $700.00+ dollars. When my wife went to drop the car off she asked them if they could give her a ride they simply said no so my wife had to stay there while the work was done. The next day we picked up the car the humming noise was still there and as loud as ever. So we took the car back for the second time. This time the service techs told us that it was the wheel bearing on front right passenger side was bad so there went another $400+ dollars. We picked up the car and guess what the noise was still there. I called to them complaining and they asked us to bring it in for the third time. This time they said that it was two more wheel bearings were badand there went another $550+ dollars. I thought the third time would be the charm and for the first day it was. A new noise suddenly appeared when were driving to the Poconos on a Friday it was a loud banging noise so here we go I called the Subaru Service Center again and brought the car in for the forth time. This time I went for a test drive with the service tech and we could not get the car to make the noise. He put the car on the lift and discovered that the front axle boot was torn and the wheel hub was bad. They showed me the damaged axle. the odd thing was is that the damage was to the same passenger front side which was the side that the tech already did work on. They also showed it to my wife my wife was not happy this time it was going to cost over $800.00 to fix. My wife was in tears by then and she asked them to take the car off the lift so we could leave. One strange thing was is that they washed the car for us before we left. The car has never been the same since then. If we can't count on Subaru trained service technicians who can we count on. We would like for something to be done.

My car was serviced at a Riverhead Bay motors in Riverhead, NY. 1- My registration sticker was removed on accident because I was told they could've thought my car was a trade in. 2- the mechanic that worked on my car was negligent and broke pieces of my car. 3- my air conditioning dial will now not go all the way to cold. Worst costumer service they don't care about your car at all.
