2011 Subaru Of America Legacy Car Review

Absolute worst car I've ever owned, will never buy another subaru as long as I live!! It has spent morebtime in at subaru dealership then I can drive it and guess what...back again! I need a bus pass to go with my car payment! Still dont know whats wrong with it! Very bad experience with this car, but I learned to never get another.

If you buy a Subaru you better make sure the car is equipped as purchased before you pay for it. Once you leave as I did at their Costa Mesa California dealership they never return your calls or full fill the promised add on's. I later contacted their corporate location Subaru of America and still could not get an answer or help in resolving the problem. they go on and on about how they care about their customers and their great service but never put their money where their mouth is. I was totally ripped off and suggest you find a automobile with a good service record not just talk

Subaru Of America in South Pasadena, California - Recall POOR SERVICE -- SUBARU OF GLENDALE

We received the recall on the Tanaka airbag on a Saturday - we are leaving for a camping trip on Tuesday - a car full of kids and camping gear heading to Oregon. The replacement for the recall will not be available for for 8 weeks. Subaru of Glendal Tomas said they would get a rental but only play $50 a day which just gets you a car not a Subaru - not a Subaru equivalent. Leaving us completely screwed - so much for family, safety. The are low balling our family - who has owned a Subaru since 2010 - and not getting us another Subaru or equivalent even though 10 people have died from the Tanaka recall and thousands injured. I asked to speak to Ross the assistant manager who is making this decision and he would not come to the phone. Tomas said for me to call corporate and he did not know the phone number. I will be trading in our Subaru and never purchasing another. DONE WITH SUBARU - NOT FAMILY OR SAFETY FIRST

Hi, I am really disappointed with dishonesty of clay Subaru and quirk subaru dealerships. Both gave me very specific written quote on the the car, but when I went to the places, they refused on sale with advertised price. I have all email exchanges. Such false advertisements hurt company image and must be punishable.

Subaru Of America in Manassas, Virginia - Service charges 50% more than parts department for replacement parts

Before taking our car in for a repair from our local Subaru dealership, we called for a quote on that repair. We were given the labor cost for the repair from the service department, then transferred to the parts department to get the cost of the parts. When we picked up the car, we found that the Service department charged 35 percent more than that same dealership parts department charges and what is shown on the internet, which confirmed the price quoted by the parts department. Why is Subaru punishing their loyal owners by charging significantly more for parts than if bought at the parts counter and taken to any other repair shop?

After 3 weeks. 2700 dollars In parts and labor. My problem was still not fixed. From day 1 I told the tech and service manager to please check my hill hold. And they assured me I didn't have one on my vehicle. Now after all this I argued with the tech and he kept saying I didn't and there's a button for it.(there isn't. It's just a feature) and call the service manager to check it like they said they would on day 1. And guess what? I do have it just like I said I did have one and i want it gone. Never going back to a dealership and this Subaru is being sold as soon as possible. Not knowledgeable at all there..

I totally agree -- Subaru customer service SUCKS. I brought my car in 3x for a safety issue.

The service people never took the car out for a drive, just keep telling me there is nothing wrong. I finally got a supervisor to test drive and they agreed that there is indeed a problem and would order parts. The parts came and they never called me. When I called them, they told me that they sent the parts back because there is nothing wrong.

They never fix any warrantee items. Why did I buy an extended warrantee? That was a total waste of money. I feel like I am in a Saturday Night Live skit on bad service.

The bottom line, I regret buying a Subaru. I had a Honda prior and never had a problem with service.

I bought a 2014 subaru sti with 12k miles at suburban subaru vernon ct 5 weeks ago. They showed me a clean carfax but i was unaware of the history of the vehicle...has already gone through 2 motors and a week after buying the car it had another blown motor and turbo. They said i would be priority and it would be finished within a week. Almost 4 weeks later i get the car back after many lies and excuses to why it isnt done. I finally get the vehicle back and it is smoking a lot. They tell me it needs to burn off residue and it could take up to a week. 3 days later i notice a big puddle of coolant and now it is yet again in the shop. This is is getting absolutely ridiculous and i am not sure where to go from here.

People we all have common complaints lets start a class action lawsuit and get our right back. Took 2 people to file a lawsuit about the oil consumption issue and it now has turned into a class action lawsuit so maybe one more might change how we are all getting treated and sold cars that seem to have problems at 30,000 mile mark. They are vert aware but continue to avoid us thinking we will go away by making us feel helpless.
