Subaru Of America in Topeka, Kansas - E waiting a long long time.

2.3
Details
2 months after buying a new 2015 Outback, we had an incident that resulted in a broken rear back glass window. The dealer and several windshield repair companies all have no replacement glass available. They had to order a new back glass from the factory. I was initially told it would be a few days to get the glass in. A week later I followed up and was told it be another few days, they're still fabricating it. A week after that, still no glass and was told it was shipping the next day. 3 days later, still hasn't shipped. 4 days later, now all of a sudden it's in another state. I keep hearing excuse after excuse. I really think they just lie and tell you what you want to hear just to hold you off awhile longer. Meanwhile I've had to rent various cars for the past 3 weeks ($500 so far on top of the $700 for the replacement glass) and I'm still being fed a line of *** on when it'll arrive. I'm sick of this ***. This was my very first Subaru and probably my last.

After 75,000 mile service, the engine blew 6,000 miles later. We even added a couple quarts of oil during the this time, because for some reason this car burns an abnormal amount of oil. We were driving on the freeway, all of the sudden, with no warning the rod bust -...

Same here. 2009 Legacy with 75,000 miles.

No warning light, no leakage, nothing. Apparently the oil just burned up. Apparently Subaru's have an issue with excessive oil burning which I was not aware of until this incident.

Subaru even though I was out of the warranty period did cover half the cost which came to about 2000 dollars for a new engine.

But for me the damage is done and this will be my last Subaru car ever.

If I have to replace an engine at 75,000 I am concerned what will be next.

Subaru Of America - Failure to provide replacement bumper in timely manner

A truck ran a stop sign, resulting in my fairly new Crosstrek XV Hybrid having to spend the last month at the collision shop waiting for parts. My local dealer has been polite and knowledgeable, obtaining all the many parts needed except for a back ordered bumper; the new bumper's estimated arrival has been pushed back twice. I know I am not alone in the long waiting line for Subaru parts. I bought a new Subaru from my local dealer so I could get around in a Vermont winter. I am stuck with various rental vehicles...soon to be none...due to the inability of Subaru of America to provide the bumper. My auto insurance provides for only 30 days of car rental coverage. I am a senior citizen. I depend on a reliable vehicle and you are letting me down, Subaru.

I've put off making this post because this has been an ongoing issue with Subaru that I had hoped would eventually be fixed without me having to air any dirty laundry, but after my last conversation with the SoA Southeast Regional rep (who I will call George from here...

I have dealt with Kelly .S of Subaru of America that definitely sounds like my experience with her. Dodging calls and evasive emails.

Subaru Of America Commercial Review

the commercial that they have made for this car is so wrong in so many ways. if a wreck like that really happen the only reason they survived that wreck was because God was looking out after them not a car.

Subaru Of America - Upgraded to 2015 Subaru Forester and disappointed!

I've had 2 previous Foresters that I absolutely LOVED, LOVED, LOVED. Couldn't say enough about my Forester until I upgraded to the 2015, and now can't stop complaining. Sure the turbo feature is nice, but it SLIPS in the snow, there is no bug shield available for model, the automatic car starter is a joke: faint beep and not consistent...must be close by to start and by then, why bother? The all-weather mats are the most inferior product: no deep ridges to catch water away from shoes as snow melts, and forget about those leather shoes because that puddle is going no where! I miss the quality that my 2005 and 2010 offered, and feel taken advantage of by Subaru for selling an inferior product...so unhappy.

Subaru Of America in Quincy, Massachusetts - Subaru Ad

I am appalled that your latest commercial depicts Subaru as New England's unofficial car. We, the people of New England pride ourselves with our rich early American history! For a Japanese Car Manufacturer (Subaru) to claim themselves as the "unofficial car of New England", is insulting! Where do you get the numbers for this statement, I don't see that many on the roads here. Please remove the commercial! We need to manufacture, assemble, and buy American made products and employ our of work families. Read the Subaru reviews and not impressed. I don't know anyone here in New England who has one.

Worst Subaru commercial: blind geezer leads hipster couple to a cliff to “hear the whales”. Good grief.

Subaru Of America in Palo Alto, California - Known Dangerous Problem with Subaru

Last week my 2011 Subaru Outback quit on the freeway. The engine stalled. I was sitting on the 101 South, trying to restart the car, before I got rear-ended. Reading consumer complaints has shown me that many, many Subaru owners have had problems with their cars stalling and quitting at a hard, fast brake. The torque converter is the culprit and is a known problem that Subaru has failed to address. I am having the torque converter in my Outback replaced now at a cost to me of $2017. There are so many complaints about Subarus stalling due to failed torque converters, there should be a recall. It is a very dangerous problem. I contacted Subaru headquarters and they have taken no responsibility for the issue.

Subaru Of America - Car Review from Reno, Nevada

I purchased a 2015 Subaru outback in oct 2014 it was a transfer from San Leandro ca. The car arrives in Reno with one set of keys. I buy the car and am told that another set of keys has been ordered. I call, let me transfer you to sales, sales, that's a service issue and the games begin it's been almost 4 months still no keys. NEVER AGAIN. If Subaru were the last car on this planet, I'll walk. I am thourouly disgusted and pissed
