according to the web, all the problems I am having with my Outback are common, as is Subaru's lack of response. Faulty windshields, faulty video/computer after many visits, faulty gas gauge, faulty sound system, dealer who won't give you an appointment for months. As a fan of Subaru for 30 years, it really does make me sad that I will never buy another one.

My little 2013 subaru impreza was in the shop June 18th-July 19! The check engine light wouldn't go out no matter WHAT they did. Had the mechanics stumped and they called in the "big guns" from SOA. Changed out all kinds of parts. Finally tore down the engine and did a new engine wiring harness and bulkhead harness. While all that was going on I was driving a 2019 outback, which I nicknamed "The Moose". They had a 2019 impreza on hold for me (no deposit) for over 2 weeks in case they could not fix the car. So happy to have my own car back again :)

Subaru Of America in Camden, New Jersey - Hacking Remote Entry

Last night someone "hacked" out remote entry system on a three week old 2019 Subaru. At first dealer told me they have never heard of this and then admitted that the security technology is far out of date and relatively easy to *** with inexpensive devices. I don't understand why a modern automobile manufacturer did not do a better job of building in security to prevent this by at least using random codes and not sequential codes. Last night was just a loss of around $250 to $300, floormate and sunshield, but next time maybe more including vandalizing the interior.
