I continued to plead my case to Subaru of America and they acquiesced and covered the cost of a rebuilt transmission ($9140.84)! Yahoo! It has a 3 year warranty, so...

Subaru Of America in Camden, New Jersey - Are all 2018 Outbacks lemons?

2.4
Details
according to the web, all the problems I am having with my Outback are common, as is Subaru's lack of response. Faulty windshields, faulty video/computer after many visits, faulty gas gauge, faulty sound system, dealer who won't give you an appointment for months. As a fan of Subaru for 30 years, it really does make me sad that I will never buy another one.

I am very upset that I have taken my new Touring Model Ascent to McDaniels Subaru in Columbia, SC. They have dismissed and tried to explain away my concerns regarding a loud squealing noise when accelerating. Most of the time this happens between 40-50 MPH. The first 3...

Im going through a similar issue in California with a clutch on a WRX that went at 5000 miles and they say it is “driver error”. You’d have to smoke the tires and slip the cutch. I pulled up to a stop sign and the car wouldn’’t move....Subaru doesn’t get it and/or give a *** If you are interested my review is #1478937

Subaru Of America in Camden, New Jersey - Hacking Remote Entry

Last night someone "hacked" out remote entry system on a three week old 2019 Subaru. At first dealer told me they have never heard of this and then admitted that the security technology is far out of date and relatively easy to *** with inexpensive devices. I don't understand why a modern automobile manufacturer did not do a better job of building in security to prevent this by at least using random codes and not sequential codes. Last night was just a loss of around $250 to $300, floormate and sunshield, but next time maybe more including vandalizing the interior.

Subaru Of America in Camden, New Jersey - TSB 16-90-13R CVT Transmission problem

Unfortunately I'm the owner of three Subaru's, 2010 Forester, Outback and a 2011 Legacy. At this time my 2011Legacy and 2010 Outback are both having Torque Converter problems, which means slipping transmissions and constant stalling when coming to a stop. I Contacted Subaru of America and because I have 135,000 & 170,000 miles on these vehicles they will not honor the warranty to have them repaired. So I'm faced with a decision, either pay an excessive repair bill or trade the vehicles in to a dealer. So I spoke to a Toyota dealer today who offered me a deal to trade them in and purchase and newer model Toyota. After years of being a Subaru owner it's time for a change.
