I have my 2006 Tribeca serviced at Michael Hohl Subaru in Carson City Nevada. I had the car serviced on May 8th 2013, I was told i needed new brakes. My wife and I were driving when we heard a noise coming from the right side wheels. I took the car to my mechanic he...

I've heard several complaints about "The Hohl" recently. They are especially dishonest with women.

Avoid them at all costs, and file a safety complaint against them with Nevada's version of "The Bureau of Automotive Repair". Oh yeah. Find an honest "Independent" Subaru mechanic" nearby. There are several.

One last thing. Stay far from "The Hohl" from now on, lest you get sucked in again.

Subaru Of America in Wasilla, Alaska - Headlights should not be difficult to change

My 2011 Subaru Out back has now needed to have 3 low beam headlights replaced at 40,000 miles. R low beam at 15, 0000 mile check 1/23/12 L low beam 27,000 miles 6/1/12 L low beam 40,000 miles 4/15/13 The headlights do give great light but you have to take the car to the shop to get the low beam light changed. Car owners should be encouraged to drive with headlights on for safety & visibility, not discouraged by the difficulty of changing the bulb. The design on this car makes it necessary to remove the front bumper to change the headlight. That is a ridiculous, *** design. Headlights should be able to be easily changed by the owner

At 58,000 miles, same problem with me, only try 8 lowbeams. Bought my 2011 Outback new, CRS isn't helping much other than replacing the bulbs for free.

Suggested sending it back to factory engineers for trouble shooting electrical system as I only live an hour away, answer: that is not a option. Get the feeling Subaru doesn't want to deal with it.

Same thing with me -- must have had 4-5 headlight changes in last year and a half. A first for any vehicle I've owned.

Bought a new '12 Legacy and have had it back to the dealer 5 times already to try to fix the *** manual drivers seat. Can't believe the Gubmint lets Subaru put such a piece a junk seat in a car. Internal seat springs breaking, seats tracks are sloppy and seat wiggles...

Try canceling your order and getting your money back. Then, take your cash to another, more honest car company.

Subaru Of America in Boston, Massachusetts - Refused relief on replacing split differential casing

Update by user Jun 23, 2012

After some discussions and providing detailed maintenance records Subaru covered the entire cost which included the original failure but an aditional portion of the drive train that was found to be failing. I was looking at a $2500 repair bill.

The dealer ( Cityside Subaru) was extremely cooperative.

As note above customer service people finally came around. Alls well that ends well.

2007 legacy wagon purchased two weeks ago from original owner. While driving a loud clunk followed by clicking sound. was heard. Dealer found the center differetial casing split. Stated that he had never seen this type of failure before. The car had 69,000 miles on it putting out of warranty Contacted Subaru customer service if they would offer some relief. Some transmission work perfomed in the past and Subaru is saying since it wa not perfomed by them they could not offer any relief. Customer sevice did not seem to care about customer loyalty given that the vehicle was only 9000 miles out of warranty.

The check engine light, cruise light and anti skid light are on. The MPG guage swings back and forth like a pendullem. This will be the third time the vehicle has been to the dealer for this and other things. It is only THREE months old. When I had a question about...

Subaru Of America in O Fallon, Missouri - Outfront liars in Subaru of Cherry Hill New Jersey

We entered a deal with the Subaru of Cherry Hill New Jersey dealership where we were supposed to trade in our car and buy a new car that was not yet in stock. When the car arrived (in a considerable delay), they attempted to avoid the deal, and made up damage that did not exist on our car to try to reduce the trade-in price. Further, they tried (twice) to double the tax charge ("by mistake"). This is clearly an outfront deception. Finally, the sales persons held us there for over 4 hours before finally settling the deal on the agreed-upon terms. If you value your time and money, there are other dealerships in the area.

I'd suggest a dealership in another state. I'd avoid New York, any state in the mid-west too.

In fact, after reading 37 reviews, the only one that was positive, came out of the Subaru Dealership in Bend, OR.

Free gold?! Serious?!

Subaru seems to randomly cover or not cover engines in the STi model that break piston ringlands. I had to get quite hostile to finally get reimbursed for my first one, which went at 1,987 miles. I'm SOL on my 2nd one at 9900 miles and they say that there is no...
