picking up my son from school at 3pm, battery dies. I immediately call our local dealership service dept to confirm I can bring the car to them if necessary.

That takes a good 10+ mins, then I call Subaru roadside service. They say an hour, which would have had them arriving at 4:15. At 4, I receive a text message that they would be arriving in 10 mins. However, they did not, and my call to the tow company was handled in a whiny, b-s placating manner, quite unpleasant.

By 5, they'd not arrived and my partner brought another vehicle so I could take the boy away and he waited with the car. Another call to them at 530—they stated they would not be arriving until 7.

That's 4 hours from the time of the original call. He called AAA, who arrived 20 minutes later.

Called Road Side Assistance- got a text stating 60 minutes! Then another increasing it to 90 minutes!

Then another increasing it another 30 minutes! Called they said heavy traffic- still no help- calling AAA- better service
